This is the case - Naz made it official a little while back. Calling someone a fanboy is considered flaming and is moderated.

but that is also moderated on a case by case bases. I call myself a fanboy all the time, I call shio a PC fanboy and he agrees , and well I work for this great site, as do you, so we are both VGC Fanboys as well as staff members.
