Don't even bother. You can't even think about approaching the red knight until you're level 25. At the very least. You don't actually kill the dragons until you can afford buying 200 arrows.

I took the shortcut up to the top where the red eye is. I left the two barrels at the top of the stairs and got him to follow me all the way there.

I went around the barrels and positioned myself diagonally from him. He tried to move around the barrels and plummeted to the bottom of the stairwell.

 

Got like 2000 souls and some loot.

THAT...WAS...AMAZING!!!
