Ok before anyone reads past this first line there might be spoilers in any given sentence of this discussion so read at your own risk.
I just beat 358 today, took me about 30 hours, which was much longer then I had expected, that said, it's very good and true to the series and while a few claimed it wouldn't have much related to the main series story I think it revealed a lot.
Later in the game (for any that have gotten that far) Xigbar sees Xion as Ven from Birth By Sleep and you realize Xigbar is likely the Nobody of the guy in the BBS trailer at the end of KHII. Not sure how that scene might relate to BBS in the end but it might make some other plot points make sense much like CoM for KHII.
That's the main point I wanted to discuss mostly because I've yet to finish KHII myself and can't relate 358's story to that game quite yet but you guys are more than welcome to.
