NO ONE can predict what sales will be like on any given basis, but with some research we can at least get in a reasonable ballpark with still a rather large tolerance level. No console is doomed but if people wish to make threads determining how future sales will unfold they should have good research, lack of self-interest, and seen as purely speculative because all sales predictions are of course speculative. We just will have to recognize though that even if they are speculative we can still get in the ballpark. But the main thing we'll need to discern are the good ones from the bad. Doomed threads based on a week of sales are pointless and ones based on future game releases are pointless. If we could just do that I'm sure things like this would end. But of course I know I'm asking way to much of VGC members because it's too much to ask of people in general now isn't it haha. But hey just throwing it out there. |
