I can guarantee you that it will hurt my hand to play with a DS3 with only 1 hand. It already hurts my thumb to use the analog stick, and having to support the extra weight of the controller will only make it worse. However, I have small hands, and the analog stick is a long reach for me.
Anyways, while using the DS3 may work, it is a crappy solution and a good solution would be selling a "half DS3"
