Nintendo's Ability to Move On

New game designs along the lines of Wii Sports, Brain age, and Nintendogs will continue to drive Wii as well. In three years the HD boxes will have some REALLY amaizing artwork to look at. Wii will have a huge list of compelling new game designs and interface hardware. It will continue to be no contest for the duration of Wii's lifecylce. Wii will be well out in front, with the HD boxes scapping it out for thier share of that niche market.

This is what kills me. The PS2, a very weak system by comparison, and the xbox, which is also weak by comparison, had games that were HD 720p. What reason is there for the Wii not to do HD? What reason is there for it not to have dvd playback?
