pregnant barbie was fairly popular. I had a few friends who had them and we were young enough compared to them that they could force us to play barbie with them.
Even though I know you won't believe my story, it is true 
Overall, I'm not shocked at all at what they banned (or tried to ban). If I ran a store myself I'd probably not sell some of those items myself, but some of it is just people being oversensitive. But walmart is free to run their business however they like to keep their customers happy.
