Just so I understand this, we call it a "sku in a transitionary price period" when MS has a price cut, and a "PS3 is doomed firesale price-cut" when Sony does it?

Here is a quick table to summarize this:
2007 1 PS3 is doomed firesale pricecut
2008 MS put multiple skus in a transitional price redetmination periods beginning in June and ending September.
2009 Sony had another "PS3 is doomed firesale price-cut", while Microsoft has placed another sku in a transitional price reflection period. Also, MS determined that the 60 gig sku has achieved a heroic milestone and will retire from sales.

Final note, it seems like it's good business for MS to lower the price, but a terrible move for Sony to lower the price.

We good?

Thanks for the input, Jeff.
