Your at a large chain of stores. They hire whoever applies. And morons have to work too. It's not like Gamestop is expecting their part time employees to study gaming or take sensitivity training.
A friend of mine once went into Blockbuster and asked an employee if they had any really, really bad movies (sort of like Beast of the Yucca Flats, Egah, Robot Monster, etc..) The employee's response: "I thought Return of the king really sucked"
And that's why I do my game shopping at Microplay. Every time I've been there, it's either the store owner or his wife working. They both really know games and like talking about them.
