And how do you know this?
I would say the price is very much an issue. Nintendo (unlike Sony or Microsoft) cater to a more varied base of consumers, many of whom I think right now are scared of spending too much because Oprah and Dr. Phil are telling them to be cautious with their spending in a recession.
So casuals I believe are more likely to cut out the video games in times of economic distress.
The DS would likely be down too YoY if it wasn't for the addition of the DSi model.
I don't think online service honestly equals any kind of meaningful sales volume. If it did, Microsoft should be the market leader.
