Hey, I have the wifey restriction on video game purchases. I really don't want to have the "But you already HAVE a video game system!" conversation. It can get kinda ugly.

Lol, you could try reversing that on her and saying "But you already HAVE a handbag/dress/necklace/pair of shoes/whatever".
