with a 0.25 rate cut from the Fed now a reality, the Canadian dollar currently trades at 1.057, up about 7/10th of a cent. should almost certainly close above 1.05 for the first time since 1957.

with a 5% buffer, one can now comfortably say the Canadian dollar is worth more than the US dollar!

in related news, Canadian economy grew 0.2% in August, average-ish.
