The funny thing is when we look at each of SONY's 3 platforms on a worldwide level and the expectations of each its a very different story.
PS3 -> In 2008 Jan-August was Sony's strongest period before the 360 price drop. This year its September-December that will give SONY a YoY increase in sales.
PS2 -> Umm the console is 9 years old. Did you really expect a 9 year old console to be seeing YoY increases?
PSP -> Ouch for SONY, but i guess the PSP Go is coming in October AND 2008 was an excellent year for PSP. Im sure SONY can live with the handheld starting to die, it is in its 5'th year.
Soo all up im going to predict the following -> At the end of the year PSP will be up YoY over 2008. PS2 sales will be down YoY but will still reach(or exceed) SONY's expectations and PSP sales will be down YoY -- with another decrease predicted for 2010.
