A lot of expectations seem to be pegged to "hope" more than anything else.
Make no mistake; the game will sell millions of copies. It just won't sell millions of consoles.
While not a huge as a $100 price drop off the PS3, a $199 price on the Wii would take it to "mass market pricing" in addition to having the added perceived value in the minds of consumers as a bargain/better deal.
Three years at the same price doesn't exactly inspire a sense of urgency for the general consumer to suddenly buy the same console, even with new best selling titles on the way.
It's not like Mario Galaxy hasn't been available for over a year, or the Wii Fit for over a year, or even Wii Sports Resort/Motion Plus for several months now.
