Do you think the Final Fantasy MAIN SERIES could come back to Nintendo?

I'm sure these are the drivers for Final Fantasy games. Afterall, if the past games were all about pushing the best graphics, why weren't they primarily developed for Xbox(1) or PC? Japanese market perhaps?
