| TGolem said: You have to be kidding me if you don't think the release of the God of War lineup is going to be huge. i've never even played a single one of the games in the series because they came out so late into the PS2s life. i had moved onto playing PC games because my PC became more powerful than my PS2 and i didn't keep up with games coming out for the system anymore because of it. with that said 99% of people do not and will not own a PC that could run God of War 3 when it comes out. all of my friends that have ever played the God of War games can't tell me enough about how epic and fun it was, making it their favorite game on the PS2 of all time. I plan on buying the ENTIRE lineup (chains of olympus too) of God of War over the course of the next 7 months. i think God of War 3 sales are going to be something fanboys are going to try and downplay from now until the holidays of 2010 because it's just that intimidating. |
The most intimidating game the PS3 has come out with all gen was MGS4. It sprung sales and sold out bundles. God of War is quite the underrated series for game of its acclaim. People don't downplay the sales because they want it to sell low amounts. The downplay the sales because of track records. GT5 will be the most intimidating PS3, finally putting a first party Sony game on top and letting the third party giant MGS4 rest.
