what were your predictions again? I can safely say no one expected such big numbers, nobody. Now, you somehow know just 600k people waited two years to get the ps3 at $299. Just amzing how much people know after the fact .

I never predict sales.

Anyways, are you gonna pretend it's gonna sell 500k per week from now on?

Because every pricecut on any console has caused a sales spike followed by slowdown up to a new sales plateau. If you are gonna try to defend that somehow the ps3 is gonna behave in a different manner than every single console including the ps3 (as far as the 2007 pricecut is concerned) I'd like to hear you why is it gonna happen.

Duh!

Dude, the Wii doesnt sell 500k a week, what the hell areyou talking about? Yes, I am sure many peoplecan't wait for the next couple weeks to claim it was just a spike because so many people were waiting for it, but I don't care. I just want good sales, good games.

I have been here when threads were being created asking for Sony to just kill off the console, please move aside and let me enjoy MY BIG WEEK.

That's a lot of pent up demand... Sony took their time getting the price down though I still feel the hundred dollar cut was to much... two 50 dollar cuts could have had a more substantial and sustained effect.

Thank you man from the future.

So would you like to tell me about why you're so angry *sips on some joe*  It often helps to just let it out sometimes... I'd like for you to look at two number... one of them is smaller than the other... try and figure it out  200.... 300

Do you still have that one slim sitting and unsold at  your store while 360  flew by each hour?

The truth is that is about right... we've sold 3 slims an 5 360s... I work at Walmart and our area is pretty pro-360, but the point is still that over the holiday season you'll see a shift in console sold from the 300 dollar system to the 200 dollar system... If MS can match what they did last year it'll be a great holiday season for both console manufacturers, but Sony has opened the gates to the 30-32 million mark at best before significant slow down on the levels we saw this year occur again.  Those extra numbers that MS has been leading the PS3 with are almost all Arcade.  Valhalla hasn't been released (GPU on CPU) and Microsoft still has room to drop the Arcade significantly lower... though they'll probably keep the price and throw in Natal for the casual consumers.

The PS3  has no shot then, and America is the world.
