We can more accurately predict the games quality, than we can its sales. It'll be pretty good. Sales will be mediocre because the PS3 can't launch new IPs.

Just to name a couple...

Little Big Planet? Uncharted?

I meant to be successful saleswise.

Now, sure, those games were successful saleswise, but they were also very highly touted, and had great legs, and either amazing reviews, or great word of mouth from the Sony community, and/or no competition in the genre.

Killzone 2 had all of those things, and its sales have been unfortunate.

Can a game pull a couple million off as a new IP?

Oh hell yeah.

It just better be LBP, the most hyped game of all time, and "huge" or Uncharted, which launched when there was nothing else to play on the console, and which still sells to this day, due to unbelievable post launch hype and word of mouth.

Still, would you consider those sales "good?"

Do you think mediocre means "bad?"

If the game isn't good, it's going to flop, and if it is great, it'll still probably only perform ok. The PS3 and the Wii, have a hard time launching new IPs to successful sales.

What, you don't agree?

Anything above 2 million for a new IP is good no matter what the console is.

And you just called LBP the most hyped game of all time...

What new IP's other than Gears has the 360 then sold "good" in your opinion?

So no, i dont agree.
