You have to keep in mind that it really wasn't selling much at all for the last few weeks. This is a great spike in sales, but quite a bit of that was sales that were pushed back by a shortage of consoles and the knowledge that a price cut / new model was coming in a few weeks. If you spread the sales out to cover what would have sold average on those weeks this spike seems a little less impressive. It is pretty obvious that it will still keep sales at a nice high level for a while though... I just wouldn't use this weeks numbers in your conjecture since a lot of it is delayed purchases.
