I figured a $50 price cut as well, though that might be stretching it.
Either way, not much is going to change. The 360 is cutting its price, the PS3 is pulling out the Slim, and yet, neither one are going to keep the sheer upward trend that would be needed to defeat the Wii. I doubt the PS3 is going to even come close to 360 numbers by the sheer fact that it's an 8 million unit difference. Sure, they'll gain some ground over the next few months but there's not going to be a change either way.
No, I think Nintendo is just fine and will remain so. I mean, between Wii and DS sales, they're making over $70m a week just on hardware which amounts to a decent profit margin. For that kind of dough, they can afford to sit back, relax and do whatever they want to.
