I think PS3's lineup includes more variety, so that's why I'm going with it.

Splinter Cell - 3rd person stealth based action - With Shooter Elements(TPS) - Confirmed

Alan Wake - Survival Horror - With Shooter Elements (TPS ala RE5) - Confirmed

Halo Reach - FPS - Confirmed

Fable III - WRPG - With Shooter Elements - Confirmed

Crackdown 2 - Sandbox - With Shooter Elements - Confirmed

Mass Effect 2 - WRPG - With Shooter Elements (TPS) - Confirmed

Heavy Rain - Interactive adventure

The Last Gaurdian - Adventure

GoW3 - Beat em Up

MAG - Online FPS

Agent - 3rd person stealth based action - With Shooter Elements

WKC - JRPG

It's close, but yeah, the PS3 does have slightly more variety due to the 2x WRPGs on the 360. That said, Fable and ME are very different, and in reality, I think the variety level here is very close.

That said, as a multiplat owner, these games plus multiplat----make me excited. Will Agent release in 2010?

Adding(this verb exists? sorry for my english) ModNation Racers, Twisted Metal, and possibly Jak&Daxter the variety of Ps3 games will grow more.

Let's see, Heavy Rain has a gun in it, TLG probably has a bow in it somewhere, GoW3 has swords on the end of a chain, and WKC also probably has some sort of projectile, so yes, they all have shooter elements, as far as that goes.

Fact is, every game has a projectile in one form or another. Be it spell, arrow, or gun.

Anyway, truthfully, I'm not counting every game on either console, because we'd be here all day. Those are the important ones.

That's reaching a bit. Splinter Cell, ME2 and Halo Reach will all have guns that feature prominently, Alan Wake has a flashlight which is basically used as a gun. Fable III won't really have guns that central to the gameplay...will it? Not sure about Crackdown- if it's like Prototype, I wouldn't count it, if it's like Saint's Row, I would.

I'm sure Heavy Rain does have guns, but you're not using them.
