Is the PS3 slim the last hope ?

I would hope it would sell far more than 1 million in December- it should approach that on Christmas week. Perhaps 2.5 million in December, a little less in November thanks to Black Friday, and a fair bit in October with all of the software launching. It has to sell 6.5 million in four months...a little doubtful, actually. Yeah, 30 million is probably too optimistic.

If it averaged, say, 170k for 12 weeks, from now to end November, that would be 2.04 million. Another 2.5 million in December would make 4.54 million. Which would put the console at 28 million.
