A storefront ad and a print ad are two totally different things. I'm not shocked that the price hasn't been dropped in the print ads.
I do think it'll hurt the spike in sales, but over the long run i think they'll get the same quantity of sales. Think of it like this, a person sees the new price and says to himself , I'm going to buy a PS3 today. Instead of that happening uniformly across the US, it is now going to happen region by region. Overall everyone gets to see the new price, so you get the same effect.
