Those were exactly my thoughts. They already tried a marketing campaign touting its ability as a "media machine" and it wasn't too successful.

Now it seems they are trying the exact same message and expecting a different result.

And since the marketing theme appears to ocntrict the preference/directive of the head of SCE, it makes you wonder if there is a disconnect in corporate communications.

Well I guess the corporate motto for Sony is "try, try again!" That slogan isn't really going to do much because people interested in video game consoles should know what the PS3 does.
