I think it's just so here... It's a sales number website, if we don't have precise info, we try to make some and discuss, that's part of the fun hanging around here.

I'm surprised people consider this "unbelievable." Any console could be #1 at Amazon with a price drop. I'm sure there will be more threads and news articles when its the #1 selling console of the week. Its a small victory in my eyes considering competition is forcing them to do major price drops.

1: I'm not sure if 360 has ever held this position. I've been looking on google for like 15 minutes trying to find something to that nature, the closest thing I've found was a report stating that 2 xbox360 consoles were both sold out on amazon, but didn't make it to #1.

Plus, about cgi, it's not fanboy goggles. In your post you do actually imply "The PS3 is garbage! The 'insert console here' is much better!".

Well, maybe not exactly, but this is what you did imply:

Being #1 on amazon is a "silver lining" to the cloud of failure. Sony had to drastically drop the price to keep up with the competition.

To add to reasons why this is even somehow slightly incorrect, the ps3 has outsold the 360 in the same amount of time, and is trending with how the original ps1 sold as well, a 100m console seller.

I haven't read your other posts so I'm not really going to comment. I'm just trying to help you understand why you're in the kitchen.

 

Wow, you are adding to the fire (that had pretty much died)... Your post is pretty fanboyish if I may say so as you are going pretty far in defending the PS3 which, by many accounts, does not need defending. Bringing up the PS1 was particularly sad...

I am amazed at how this guy is being attacked!
