^uh no. And to end this discussion and end the thread with it :

Anybody can't call themselves a true gamer if they haven't at least owned and exhaustively played any game console at any point in their lives. On the other hand, you could spend your whole life playing PC games, and if you never owned/ played Nintendo/Sega/Sony or any other japanese game exclusive to any of their consoles, you can't seriously call yourself a videogamer. You can perfectly game on consoles and forget about PC gaming, but not viceversa. If you ignore console gaming, you miss too much.

/thread.

What a load of bull crap. You completely ignore the fact that you can play most console games on PC anyway (and even more with an emulator).

I'll take it from the other angle:

You can't call yourself a true gamer unless you've exhaustively played PC games at some point in your life. On the other hand, you could spend your whole life playing console games, and you've never seriously played an RTS, or a traditional style RPG, or a FPS with proper controls, or an amazing user-created mod (e.g. Counterstrike), you can't seriosuly call yourself a videogamer. You can perfectly game on PC and forget about consoles, but not viceversa. If you ignore PC gaming, you miss too much.

See what I did there? I didn't even mention the graphics advantage.
