The PS3, along with the 360 will continue to rise and sink, with the PS3's 'rises' being a little higher, therfore shrinking the gap. I still think a gap will remain though, PS3 wll be in 3rd placd for quite a while IMO, but eventually it will come 2nd.
Also, the PS Brand doesn't have what it takes to put the PS3 into second quickly, but keep in mind that this is the PS Brand at it's weakest (selling alot of consles for very high prices, well used to anyway), and it's still very powerful (stronger than Xbox brand, and Nintendo, although the 'Wii' brand is stronger.)
