You should not be using aligned launches for this comparison.  Date is very important for this discusion.

So noname cheated to "win" the argument. The PSP was never in the lead of the DS.

You also used aligned launches, which doesn't show the correct picture either.  But you are correct, the DS was always in the lead over the PSP.

That wasn't deliberate. I don't even see the button to choose "align" or not. On that note, I retract my accusation against noname, because that might have been accidental as well.

You both probably clicked the "Hardware from Launch" tab.  You needed the "Hardware by Date" tab right next to it.  In the "Hardware by Date" tab, there is an option for "Cumulative sales".
