Mine actually froze up on me twice, once going down the first elevator shaft to Magmoor Caverns, and another time when I went down the elevator shaft to the Phazon mines. Pissed me off cuz I had to restart from my last save and redo alot of shit both times... after that it never froze up again. I also had a launch copy, and the disc was fine, but my friend encountered similar bugs too when traveling down certain elevator shafts the first time around.
