Gotta love that Ps2 slim analogy. Your forgetting that when the PS2 slim came out it was less than $200; not $300. Big difference.
It also was already selling far better than the PS3, had far more exclusives as well as games overall. (San Andreas anyone)
Sorry, PS3 is not selling over 60m and that's a significant maximum. Remember, next gen will start in about 2-3 years. Took them 2.5 to get to 24m.
