The confirmation of the PS3 slim and price cut came after that week's results... PS3 (and 360) have been doing these bad numbers for a while (in PS3's defense, the rumors of a price cut can't have helped). But these are the dog days of summer (except in Japan and their "obon") so low numbers all arounds are to be expected.
The excitement will return in next week's numbers though as we should have 2-3 days worth of PS3 price cut.
