I think there has always been this idea whether its the gaming media or gaming forums or gaming analysts, that the only barrier keeping PS3 from Wii sales was price, and the only thing giving Wii's its unprecedented sales was its price. So many folks clinged to this notion that if PS3 was Wii's price it would recieve Wii like sales. It won't happen.

Honestly until I see the results of this slim/price cut move, there is just as much a possibility of the price cut having the Gamecube effect as it is that it will boost PS3 into the stratusphere.

Nintendo will maintain Wii's price as long as possible. Iwata believes that software is the driving force of Wii's momentum, not price.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.
