Simple.
Clearly, Sony knows we'll all be watching the conference at that time, because we're all awesome. This is the time where the FEWEST people will be playing on PSN. So, Sony is going to send a command through the PSN to EVERY PS3, to turn it into a killer robot. These robots will report to the nearest Sony factory, and then will move towards Microsoft HQ.
That, or it's a big Firmware update. 50:50, pretty much.
