Ashes Cricket 3rd in Ireland... they barely play cricket there, their international team is English county standard...

@seneque, it's football and American Football, there is no such thing as soccer!!!!!!! And American Football is barely popular in the UK, but there have been a few matches here that have filled Wembley (90,000), but as those are one offs, there is not that much widespread support

Not that much of a surprise there since Americans ( who's descent isn't Central or South American or European) hate futbol.

Football, but that sport is growing with clubs like Chelsea, Inter Milan and AC touring America pre-season

as is American football .....very slowing though..there have been talks of having the SuperBowl in London in 2013(can't sooner because they already have locations for the next 3 years set)..but futbol ( I'm using the spanish term for it) in the U.S. is barely seen...the teams suck and even with David Beckham on the L.A. Galaxy haven't convert new followers. The general consensus is they don't like futbol. I like it now (though I suck horribly at it), thanks my Ecuadorian best friend and with the Spanish population increasing ( thank god) maybe it'll actually become popular....

Not so much. We don't get pre-season tours here and while the superbowl does get some coverage, there is no UK National American Football League, certainly not properly televised
