| Final-Fan said: Ron Paul: "The notion of a rigid separation between church and state has no basis in either the text of the Constitution or the writings of our Founding Fathers." Thomas Jefferson: "Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between man and his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between church and State. Adhering to this expression of the supreme will of the nation in behalf of the rights of conscience, I shall see with sincere satisfaction the progress of those sentiments which tend to restore to man all his natural rights, convinced he has no natural right in opposition to his social duties." BONUS ROUND! Ron Paul: "...the secularists wage an ongoing war against religion, chipping away bit by bit at our nation’s Christian heritage. Christmas itself may soon be a casualty of that war." When asked about George Washington's beliefs, one Rev. Abercrombie, who had known him personally, replied: "Sir, Washington was a Deist!" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deism The other two allegations are silly enough that I hope I don't need to debunk them. |
Ron Paul just believes that it's the state's decision to inforce church and state in schools. If the schools want it they can if not they dont have to.
No matter what I see the US doing like Britian did in V for Vendetta minus having one tyrant we switch them out every 4 years. Thats only if the presidents keep sucking like they have for the last 28 years. Ronald was our last good president then things went to crap.
