Well, certainly GT4 has sold very well. However,
1. GT4 has been out much longer than Halo 3, yet it is on track to sell much less.
2. GT4 is the most recent numbered main GT game.
3. GT4 launched and sold to a much broader userbase than did Halo 3.
4. Halo 3 has never been bundled significantly in any territory.

If we're going to compare the two series' I don't know why we can't fairly compare these two games. GT4 had a lot of advantages over Halo 3 saleswise, but fell short, though it also had more competition, and less hype than GT5 will.
