Someone bought the game, the retail disc they bought is their property. That same person then decides to make a copy and then distributes it for others to download.

Doesn't sound like theft to me, it sounds more like someone making a copy of their own property and giving consent to anyone who wishes to download it.

When I buy a game is it not really mine?

Sounds like you are commiting theft then when you copy your DVDs for your children to watch. Did those movie companies give consent for your kids to also have a copy of the movie? Maybe you should have bought a second one.

You disstributed it to them without the companies consent.
