Reverse this and you'll have my consensus. I love both Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie, they're both incredible games (Tooie is #18 on my all time favorites while Kazooie is #7) but I have to say that I just really enjoyed Kazooie more. Heck, I never ended up finishing Tooie because there was so much to do and see that it sort of overwhelmed me (Seriously, the first time I went into Grunty Industries I cried out "I'm supposed to actually beat this?!" However, Banjo-Tooie was actually my GoldenEye 007 with its 4 player shooting mini-game. The fact that each character had different life bars and running speeds (everyone was always a jinjo since other players had to actually point down to hit them So uh... brilliant game. |
banjo tooie could be extremely overwhleming at times, ill give you that, but the sheer scale of the game is something to be marveled at. It was like BK on steroids if you ask me.
I have very fond memories of DK 64, but when I go back and play it now, it just seems so dense and hostile. It isn't a game which invites me to spend hours playing it.
I don't know, I think that DK 64 was the weakest of rare's n64 line up.
