So developers want one thing while the consumers want something else..What was that saying? The customers always right? No wonder many devs are seeing more red than Compton LA.

Or perhaps you're imagining a situation which doesn't exist. If the foundation for making games in particular genres was there, the publishers would throw money at it. But those numbers are not there, outside of a select few genres -- which basically means the typical Wii consumer doesn't want it.
Publishers are giving Wii owners exactly what they have bought in the past. Games like The Conduit have no peers on the Wii -- why are Wii consumers not falling all over it, since it stands amongst a very few titles as one of the only good shooters on the Wii? Maybe is it not because the game was poor, but rather... because they didn't want it?

The same reason owners of other consoles aren't falling all over Bionic Commando or Wanted..Its an average game, nothing to write home about. But this is funny; When other games on other consoles don't sell what's the reason? "Oh it sucked" When a game on Wii doesn't do well what is the reason? "Oh the Wii demographics" double standards much?
But I think you are off on your logic..just a little bit. You see if you do what you've always done you'll get what you've always gotten. Many third parties tossed shit on a stick and tried to call it ice cream. Dedca Sports 1 sold well 2 did not. So maybe its not the best thing to only give Wii owners what they have bought in the past. HoTD 1/2 went platinum, overkill doesn't look like it will.
A well made big franchise game will sell on any platform, look at Monster hunter 3.

MH3, in Japan, is way too circumstancial of an example, at this point. MH is huge... in Japan. The Wii has more marketshare than the HD consoles combined... in Japan. MH3 was made by a Japanese publisher... for Japan. The MH franchise has also never had a HD iteration... yet. MH3 is the best MH in existance.
I don't imagine MH3 will "flop" in the West, per se, but be careful in assuming it will outperform all the other MH games in NA and the EU, just because it does well in Japan.

Ok so lets ignore the game that doesn't go along with your ideas or perspective? Fine let's do that.
And at the same time lets ignore the fact that NONE of the big name franchises were on the Wii at all, save for rail shooter spin offs, and somehoe Wii still sold the most third party software.
I'll say this, I think that many third parties have oversaturated the Wii with junk to the point where junk just won't cut it anymore. The thing about Wii titles is that companies have this idea that they need to "dumb down" a game for a perceived "retarded audience" on Wii. Then the gaming media takes this and decides to run with it and segment gamers into groups and categories.
Now I'm not a gamer who plays games casually, I'm a casual gamer who plays "casual games"
The point Savior brings up is a legit one; Since its inception the Wii has been the lightning rod for gaming media hate. There seems to be this seething rage given to the Wii. This is undeniable, how many articles have there been about Wii ruining gaming or "killing gaming" all together.
Re-reading our exchange it seems almost like a derailment of the thread. I'll take responsibility for that, initially but maybe our discussion or disagreement belongs in another place.
Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:
If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.
If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.
