Was Oblivion the only RPG you ever played!? Oblivion is known to have a mediocre gameplay, the worst leveling system ever, and has a severe lack of freedom of choice. |
Strange. Because the way the way the things work in Oblivion makes it probably one of the best RPGs ever for actual role-playing!
The leveling system is realistic, it makes other leveling systems seem antient. The way you fight is also very immersive, it's pretty hard to describe, but it really makes it feel like you are fighting.
As for lack of choice. Play the game, you can do almost anything you want, be a thief, stealth assasinate guys, play the standard knight , and so on, Oblivion is full of cool stuff you can do.
The things that kill the game are not the leveling system ot gameplay. It's the fact that you will never meet anything weak enough to one-shot. And no matter the level, you will never be able to kill villagers or guards, because they are always ten levels above you. That is seriously the only things keeping the game from being perfect (that and the lack of certain enemies, like dragons and stuff).
I LOVE ICELAND!
