I have one of those ones, and though they're not much to look at, they're incredibly comfortable.  The Z button is on somewhat of an arch so it feels more like firing a gun, which greatly enhanced Goldeneye and Perfect Dark (it was positioned like the left trigger on a 360 pad).  A and B are very satisfyingly 'clicky', and the C buttons are closer to them than they are on a typical N64 controller.  Not to mention that the whole thing just fit your hand naturally very well.

All in all, I probably like it better than Nintendo's N64 controller even though it wasn't as innovative.
