Can you go until 18th August (GamesCom) without a PS3?
You may have to wait even longer if they schedule a PS3 Slim for later in the year. My advice is just to buy the current PS3 now- they WILL take out features in the Slim. I don't know what, but they will. WLAN will probably stay, maybe fewer USB ports (though there are already only two...)
Alright never mind that. If you can wait until 18th August, do so and see what happens, if no announcement, buy a regular PS3, if it's announced too late for you, buy a regular PS3, if too many features are missing, buy a regular PS3. Otherwise, buy a Slim.
If you can't wait that long, go on and buy a PS3 now.
