because Zenimax is a huge company with an even larger budget

yeah, but there are all sorts of large companies with AAA games that don't get squat for DLC, like mass effect for instance.  Owned by EA, but sucks at DLC.  Or uncharted for PS3, that would of been an awesome game to get some DLC for, but Sony never gave us anything.  MGS4, Gears1, LO, Viva Pinata!!!  There are all sorts of oppurtunities out there and developers/publishers aren't even trying.

Honestly, if I really like the game, I'm going to get all the DLC for it, I'm sure I'm not the only one out there either.

Naughty Dog don't have that many employees- they had to rush to get Uncharted 2 out of the door by the end of 2009 (thank god). It wasn't really the kind of game that could benefit from DLC either- too linear and story-driven. Same with MGS4.

Uncharted 2 could feasibly have DLC, because of the online segment, but open world non-linear RPGs lend themselves to DLC a lot better than the games you've named. To have successful DLC, a game usually needs either online (Killzone 2, Halo 3, Metal Gear Online, etc.) or a large open world which is not completely driven by the story (Fallout 3, Oblivion, NOT something like Far Cry 2- not that anybody would want more of that crap).
