Uncharted 2 - ~2.7 million

The added multiplayer could propel this game to higher sales than the first, but I doubt it. I do think it'll edge out the first a little bit, however, and it'll probably be bundled a bit as well.

God of War III - ~3 million

God of War II sold a good bit less than God of War, but I believe that was due to its time of release. I expect God of War III to be like MGS4, outselling its immediate predecessor. It won't sell as well as the original God of War, though, much like MGS4 didn't sell near as well as MGS1/2.

Gran Turismo 5 - 9-11 million

Let me start off by saying GT4 has shipped 10.68 million according to Polyphony Digital's website. That means that no mainline GT game has ever sold less than 10 million. However, given the smaller userbase of the ps3, it is feasible that GT5 could be the first title to do so, but if it happens it won't be by much. Either way, GT5 will be far and away the best selling title on the ps3 when all is said and done. GT 1/2 were the best selling titles on the ps1, and GT3/4 were the best selling titles on the ps2 behind only GTA. Now that GTA has gone multiplat, and its sales are split between two platforms, GT5 will retake that crown as the best selling series on PlayStation.

The Uncharted number seems a little low- that's barely more than the first Uncharted sold, a new IP on a then-unsuccessful console, coming out of its worst year, with a competitor that outclassed it in terms of gaming library, and was cheaper to boot (2007). There was a broken street date, leading to a very strange first week. That presumably won't happen this time. Being a new IP, I don't remember Uncharted getting nearly as much coverage as its sequel, which of course is hyped because of the quality of the first game. Uncharted also released in December 2007, an extremely busy holiday season. December is also pretty late in the holiday season.

Uncharted 2 is a successor to that awesome (and successful) game, so it has the existing fanbase, plus people who will buy the sequel without getting the original first, due to buying a PS3 after Uncharted released and not wanting to pay full price for it. It has online, which should give it better legs than the original, and of course it will have good word of mouth, with Uncharted had too. As I mentioned, this game will have more "hype" (using the definition of hype in my previous post) than the original game which leads to a higher first few weeks, which leads to more people knowing about the game, which leads to them telling others about the game, and if they actually put this on Greatest Hits LESS than two years after its release, I think it'll break 3 million with ease and come close to 4 million.
