The sales are down, Nintendos shares are WAY down and the market is reacting to what they percieve to be a threat for Nintendos long term growth. Although i agree with you wholeheartedly on this point I really don't think this phenomena is unique to Nintendo fans.
I do think calling this "Wii-bashing" is a bit sensationalistic but any good points the author may have had lost are lessened by the manner in which he cherry picks facts about releases for the remainder of the year. To dismiss WSR and to not even mention NSMB Wii or Wii Fit + is not just an oversight, it's selecting facts to support a conclusion, and a headline.
