HD is divisive and it sucks.
I have one and I'm happy with it, it's okay. But we have it mainly because another family member wanted one, but I tell you, nobody in the end really gave two shits about HD. And that's true across the board. It's mostly people wanting to justify their purchase, and boys that are obsessed with visuals, and details.
I won't deny you that if you get it right, it looks crisper, but that's it. That's all it has going, and it's no colors shift either, it's a little redundant. Which to this day I watch some black and white films and many people think they're great. HD is like, completely artificially overhyped. There was never really a need for it, which might explain why it's being rammed to hard down peopl's throats.
It would have been better if they waited a little longer, until they could get a real new standard that mattered, before they tried to make a shift.
