Said the man who bought a 2D action game from a no-name developer with no reviews 
If the pre-release coverage is good, you can see what a game is like from that, but just walking into a store and saying "Hmmm, I'll buy that" is something I don't do. I used to, but not anymore. Mainly when the game I wanted was out of stock.
