^That's probably lack of players more than anything else. It's what happens when you say "It's coming out in January! No, March. No, June, actually. Actually we have no idea when it's coming out", then make a quiet announcement saying "Hey guess what guys it releases in four days!"
Sony are failures at marketing, seriously.
EDIT: Also, 90% of games have server issues at launch. Fat Princess is more noticeable because the campaign lasts like two hours, though.
