Honestly the fewer movie games the better, the last game to be good based on a movie is Chronicles of Riddick and it's not one that follows the movies or released with the movies so it had its own development cycle and meant to be a real effort.

Honestly though who cares that a movie company would rather invest in a HD movie game that will likely not sell much/be a terrible game like most movie games and cost them more to develop?

Re-read the topic.

I did, mass market movies to Wii cause of the mass market appeal action games to PS3/360 cause the consoles are totally hardcore.

I was just commenting that the fewer movie games the better :P I personally hope they think it's too expensive to make so many HD games and cut most of those out and then don't produce Wii movie games cause they don't think they'll sell in the end getting rid of the movie games.  If you're going to make a game based off a movie IP give it to a team that make great games and give them the rights to make their own story and not have to release with the movie.

The movie thing is a metaphor. It's not about licensed games.

Yeah I noticed now lol I apparently read the OP wrong.  But even still why does anyone care?  I thought it related to games first now but now there's even less reason to care LOL
