You guys are missing the point here. This is not a puzzle game simply because they removed the combat. It'slike a real horror movie in that the main character isn't necessarily capable of demolishing every 'scary' thing in their path. The strategy lies in finding ways to escape.

I'm really looking forward to this.

The ppl in horror movies have weapons/ objects to defend themselves with like the first SH game that everyone loves.  Weapons aren’t the problem with survival games these days it’s having too much ammo and never worrying about running out.

I'm not even considering 4 and 5 horror games here.  In the original Resident Evils, the original Silent Hills, the Fatal Frame games, etc, you almost always have a way of completely mitigating any threat that you come across if you're good enough.

Think of all the great horror movies - the Friday the 13ths, the Nightmare on Elm Streets, etc.  These movies had such a scary atmosphere because, for the most part, the main characters had nothing with which to defend themselves from the terrifying threat - they were being stalked.  How scary would the Scream movies have been if all the teenagers being 'chased' were armed with shotguns?

Check out the atmosphere created by a Super Nintendo game simply because it doesn't give you a weapon:

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
